Tech Buzz is a weekly news segment featured on the KHON 2 Morning News, and produced by Technology News Bytes. The segment covers the high-tech industry in Hawaii, bringing viewers the latest news and trends in high-technology at a consumer level. Tech Buzz is hosted by Kirk Matthews, and airs every Tuesday morning at 6:52am. The KHON2 Morning News also outranks all other local and national morning news shows, and is ranked #1 amongst viewers age 18-54.

The morning of your segment:
  • Please arrive at the KHON2 News Room no later than 6:30am
  • KHON is located at 88 Piikoi Street, Honolulu Hawaii 96814 (Across the street on Piikoi of Ala Moana Center on the Sear's Side)
  • Please park across the street at Ala Moana Shopping Center
  • Enter the building through the side door on the Makai side of the KHON News Room, off Piikoi. The main entrance will be closed at this hour.
  • Please note that the door will be secure, with a buzzer available for you ring on the left side. If no one answers, you may try and knock on the glass door.
  • Ikaika Kimura (Tech Buzz Producer) will be there to walk you through everything.

  • If you want a copy of the segment on the morning news, please program your DVR boxes, TIVO, VCR, or DVD recorder from 6:30am - 7:30am to be safe. If you forget to set your recording device, you may order a copy through Dateline Media at the info below.
