Bill Jarvis
President & CEO
Bill Jarvis joined Mobi PCS in 2004 as its first employee, developing the original business plan and overall competitive strategy. As president and CEO, he oversees the development of long-term strategic goals as well as daily operations for the only locally operated wireless network in the Hawaii.
Mr. Jarvis is a 23-year veteran of the wireless industry.
On Thursday, June 26, Mobi PCS launched Hele Wireless Broadband, Oahu’s first unlimited, high-speed wireless broadband, starting as low as $34 per month. Not only is Hele offered at the lowest price in Hawaii, Mobi enters the broadband market with a unique no-contract service.
For a limited time, customers can receive Hele for only $20 monthly for the first three months of service.
As with Mobi’s unlimited wireless phone service, Hele offers the latest in wireless technology at a low, flat rate and no contract. The company’s philosophy of “Simple. Different. Better.” extends to Hele as the wireless-broadband product was designed for simplicity of use. Priced below the competition, Hele makes high-speed wireless broadband attainable for more Hawaii residents.
About Hele
Hele Wireless Broadband allows a customer to establish a connection to the Internet using a laptop or desktop computer from anywhere within the Mobi PCS coverage area on Oahu. A data card embedded with an antenna will pick up the wireless signal in the same manner as occurs with a cellular phone. Hele wireless broadband requires no phone and no cable connection.
Hele utilizes EV-DO (Evolution Data Optimized), a third-generation wireless high-speed data-access technology. Because of its speed, Hele is a perfect product for the mobile work force or for home-broadband replacement.
In contrast with current market offerings, Hele offers lower prices, greater simplicity of use and complete accessibility on Oahu with the benefits of flat-rates and no contracts.
Hele Wireless Broadband is available at all Mobi PCS locations on Oahu, as well as through its network of 80 dealers across the island.
