Technology News Bytes and The Pacific Technology Foundation launched the Technology Hall of Fame to honor past recipients of Hawaii’s High-Tech Leader awards who have exceeded all expectations in their contributions to Hawaii’s technology industry over a lifetime of achievements.

To bestow the ultimate honor on a professional who has contributed to Hawaii’s technology industry through leadership and community service over a lifetime.

All nominees must be:
• Past recipients of Hawaii’s High-Tech Leader awards
• Active professionals in their current organization for a minimum of two (2) years
• Distinguished individuals who have served to improve their organization
• Known for their expertise in developing innovative technology
• Important contributors to economic growth in the State of Hawaii
• Recognized by co-workers and colleagues for their lifelong commitment to excellence
• Leaders in the community through volunteerism and service
• Nominations are accepted from public and private institutions. Self-nominations and third-party nominations are also accepted

The award for the 2008 Technology Industry Award will be presented at the 8th Annual Flavors of Technology Awards Gala to be held in the fall of 2008. Date and location tbd. A panel of judges will review all nominations for the final list of awardees.
